Somany differnt things go on in a class room day to day at Kopachuck Middle School in Gig Harbor, Washington. Whom would have thought that this a teacher would be helping kids bully a boy. Its hard for anyone to believe.
Bulling is a problem all over the world not just in our local schools. Its not a game, and if your getting bullied then its sure not fun for you. This video was taking by a student at Kopachuck Middle School in the class room where teacher John Rosi was seen sticking his butt in the childs face and saying "I'm feeling gasis". Rosi states "harmless childhood horse play and a chance for the kids to take a break from the daily grind,". If what I have seen in this video is just "horse play" then even that shouldn't be aloud in schools. This event occurred in the choir room where the boy was coved up by chairs. He had a pillow placed over his face so he could not breath for servel secounds ,the boys own socks shoved in his mouth.
John Rosi was placed on administrative leave soon after the incident in his class room in Feburary. After an investigation by the school ,Rosi was suspended for 10 days without pay. Rosi finished out the 2012 school year and has undergoing retraining and working as a roving substitute teacher, and he was assigned to teach this fall in another middle school in the district. I do not agree that this was all the punishment this teacher got. He should have been placed under arrest and serving time in Jail. Rosi should have also been stripped of his teaching licences.The boy has undergoing therapy and counseling, and thats all that the teacher gets for causing a child to change schools and under go therapy.
This is something that needs to be stopped. More should be done by teachers and students to help pervent bulling.
